At the Remington Laser Centre we have 22 different lasers (light energy devices) on site. The use depends on the challenge presented.

1. CO2 Lasers: UltraPulse Encore Aesthetic Laser; State of the art treatment for wrinkles, lines, scars, and eyelid rejuvenation.

2. MD 33-5th Generation 55 watt SuperPulsed laser

3. Vasculight V.L. (Vascular Lesions)

• Port Wine hemangiomas
• Facial telangiectasia (genetic, rosacea, or sun induced)
• Spider angiomas and cherry angiomas
• Vascular ectasias

4. Vasculight P.L. (Pigmented Lesions): Non-invasive laser-like light system controlled by a sophisticated computer system. This unique system is used to treat:

• Selected pigmented birthmarks such as Cafe au Lait
• Lentigos (sun spots, age spots, liver spots)
• Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (melanin and hemosiderin)
• Professional, decorative and amateur tattoos

5. Vasculight / Epilight Hair Removal System: Unwanted brown, dark brown, and black hairs can now be treated with this non-invasive light therapy. This light device produces a high energy flash of light that passes safely through normal skin. The light is then absorbed by the hair follicles and converted into heat, destroying the follicle.

6. Vasculight D.L. - (YAG laser)

• Leg veins with or without sclerotherapy
• Hemangiomas
• Lip Venous Angiomas

7. HGM - Krypton Laser System: The HGM-Krypton Laser produces intense beams of yellow or green light through various sized fiberoptic hand pieces.

8. Erbium / Yag Laser (UltraFine System)

• Fine wrinkles around the eyelids / crow's feet
• Blending and feathering in patients with UltraPulse CO2 resurfacing for medium - heavy wrinkles (used in conjunction with UltraPulse CO2 resurfacing)
• Treatment of facial scars (saucer shaped, elevated, keloid, ice pick, split pores, post injury, post surgical, chicken pox scars and post acne scars), often used in combination with the UltraPulse CO2 laser.

9. LightSheerTM - Diode Laser: Understanding hair removal: In the past, the usual remedies for unwanted hair were plucking, shaving, waxing, or chemical depilatories. Some are painful, some are messy, and all are only temporary. Now there is a more effective solution, the new LightSheer Diode Laser, a state-of-the-art system designed to remove unwanted hair faster, less painfully, and more reliably than electrolysis.

10.11.12.13. VersaPulse-C Aesthetic Laser (World's most advanced versatile laser system). This unique laser system has 4 separate state of the art lasers in one amazing computerized housing. This computerized laser has a 532 green wavelength with HELP-G making this an ideal choice for treating vascular lesions including telangiectasia, spider vessels, port wine hemangiomas and some leg veins.

The VersaPulse-C has 3 Q-Switched laser systems including the Q-Switched-532; Q-Switched Alex; and Q-Switched YAG. The Q-Switched laser is a special form of laser surgery that selectively removes the excessive brown to black pigment from cutaneous lesions such as flat moles, sun induced brown spots, café au lait lesions, certain pigmented birth marks, and some facial melasma.Tattoo removal: A significant medical breakthrough of treating tattoos came with the Q-Switched lasers for the removal of both amateur and professional tattoos.

14. Quantum SR - IPL (Intense Pulsed Light - Photorejuvenation System): Photorejuvenation using an intense pulsed light is a non-ablative skin rejuvenation process using a unique source of light that creates no down time. The over all appearance of aging skin of the face, neck, chest and back of the hand is primarily related to the accumulated effects of sun exposure over a life time. Photo damage - photo aging is manifested by texture changes, wrinkling, elastotic changes, irregular blotchy pigmentation, tiny telangiectatic vessels, laxity - loosening of the skin, enlarged pores and in some patients thinning of the skin (particularly the cheeks).

The focus of IPL treatments is to improve texture, tone and color and some tightening of the skin will improve the fine lines. Photorejuvenation treatments will not improve significant wrinkles. IPL - Light Facials work without the scabs and down time created by the high energy pulsed CO2 and Erbium Yag laser surgery.
